It feels like a bit of a milestone moment here at Avail, and we’re really excited to share it.
As we continue to grow as a business, we’ve welcomed two new faces into the team who are going to have a huge impact on where we go next. Both of which bring loads of experience, passion, and just the right kind of energy — and we honestly can’t wait to see what we achieve together.
Meet Ross – Our New Head of Operations
We’re over the moon to welcome Ross Lory to the team as our new Head of Operations. Ross has spent his career focused on operational improvement and helping businesses (big and small) become more efficient and profitable. He’s someone who genuinely loves making things work better.
Here’s a bit from Ross in his own words: “I’m Ross — 28, originally from Nottingham, and completely obsessed with making things work better! I’ve spent my career focusing on operational improvement and building processes that actually make a difference. Whether it’s small businesses or large organisations, I’ve put systems in place that boost efficiency and profitability. Over the past few years, I have become obsessed with all things Logistics.”
We’re buzzing to have him on board, and we’re already seeing the impact of his arrival.
Say Hello to Joe – Head of Business Development
We’re also thrilled to welcome Joe Glave to the team as our Head of Business Development.
Joe’s got over six years of experience in business development and sales — with five of those being in transport and logistics. He’s worked on everything from overnight domestic to international freight and HGV, and has led the growth of some really successful accounts.
Here’s a little about Joe: “Born and bred in Sheffield, I’ve spent the last 6+ years in business development and sales, 5 of those being in transport and logistics. I’ve managed and grown key accounts with seven-figure revenue streams as well as had hands-on experience with domestic overnight, international, and HGV logistics.”
Joe’s already settling in really well, and we know he’s going to do some amazing things for our clients (and us!).
What This Means for Us
Bringing Ross and Joe into the business is a big step for us. It marks a new stage in our journey — scaling up in a way that feels aligned with who we are, and where we want to go.
We’re building something really special here at Avail, and these two are going to be a huge part of what comes next.
